annual-pumpkin-patch-volunteering
On an October Saturday PYO students and mentors volunteered at the Museum of Life and Science at the Annual Pumpkin Patch Express. Students were able to help children and families partake in seasonal fun events featuring a journey on a short train ride, crafts, games and pumpkin picking.
This is always a great opportunity for students and mentors to participate and engage in the community.

The tour is one of the many initiatives to help our students prepare for college.

Select PYO students had the opportunity to tour the RTP location of Alston & Bird law firm recently. Students were able to meet with paralegals and law associates to learn what a day in the life of a legal career is like.

Students were advised about the importance of maintaining a positive internet presence for their futures as well as tour the firm’s offices. Another highlight was that students were able to participate in a televideo conference and interact with Alston & Bird employees in Charlotte and New York City.

We always appreciate our relationship with our friends at Alston & Bird and their commitment to PYO!
